When planning your couples photography session, we help you choose a unique location that has some sort of special meaning for the two of you. Whether it’s a favorite park, restaurant or landmark – pick somewhere that brings back fond memories, where you can laugh and look forward to making more. Something I have liked doing is having my couples bring props. Bring props or items along that have an additional layer of meaning such as a bouquet of flowers. This will create even more fun and romantic photos together!
PROPS BRING PERSONALITY.
Props can be a great way to showcase your love story. Whether it’s something cute like you and your partner sharing an ice cream cone, or taking pictures while holding the same book that started off your relationship – props help bring personality to the session and capture a special moment together. If you’re planning an outdoor or beach-style session, consider bringing blankets, a picnic basket, some food, drinks and other related items such as fishing nets (if you enjoy fishing together).
EXTRAS, EXTRAS!
Add some extras to your session like hair styling and make-up for your partner. If needed, you can even be adventurous and book an accessories or clothing rental for your session. If you’re doing an in-home or studio shoot, consider bringing some pieces from home, like books by authors you love, travel mementos, vintage furniture pieces that tie into your dynamic as a couple, etc. Creativity is key!
